The television was tuned to the TiVO "Now Showing" grid when the boss called me to breakfast, and I didn't want to watch anything she had saved, so I tapped a button to show me what was on live TV.

The first tuner was recording a golf tournament, and Blondie didn't like to see the end before the beginning, so I tapped again, to see what was on the other tuner. There was someone in a fighter airplane.

It was TNT and I normally don't watch TNT; they broadcast 53 minutes of advertising in every hour. On the other hand, it looked acceptable, and I didn't want to spend ten minutes looking for something else to watch.

Pretty soon Blondie joined me, and she didn't demand a change in channel, so it remained on.

When a commercial came on, Blondie asked me if I was interested in the movie. It wasn't phenomenally great, but it was sorta interesting, I told her, and indicated that it surprised me a little.

Sam Shepard is in it, she said, and he's never in anything that isn't good. Jamie Foxx is in it, though, I responded, and he's never in anything that is good. (An exaggeration for sure; I like Jamie Foxx, but he's sure been in some real stinkers.) Yeah, but he's already dead, she replied. She tapped the info button. Sam Shepard's name wasn't listed among the stars of the movie; Josh Lucas, Jessica Biel, and Jamie Foxx were. Jamie Foxx was the only name I recognized. Hmmm, she said. Must be aimed towards younger viewers.

But aren't all movies these days? The movie was "Stealth". I didn't see it all, not the beginning, nor the end, but I'll remedy that soon. It had sort of a "War Games" flavor to it, so if you liked young Mr. Broderick and Ms. Nixon, those many years ago, you'll probably like this one. And the price, used at Amazon, is certainly good.

And the breakfast was bacon and eggs, and sliced fresh maters from the back yard. It was pretty good, too, but it's not available at Amazon....
