Red States Have Dinky Pricks

People always claim that the biggest pricks in America are in Washington DC - but actually, Washington DC ranks second behind New Orleans.

We know this because in 2004, Condomania started selling a line of custom fit rubbers, available in 76 different sizes. They've sold 27,000 orders to men in 70 countries, and now they're releasing some statistical data, although they're not about to embarrass individual customers.

The sizes range from 3" to 10" in length, and from pencil-thin to extra-roomy.

Prior Studies

Previously, the largest formal survey of penis sizes was conducted in 1948 by the famous Kinsey researchers, when 2,500 men recorded their erect penis sizes on pre-stamped cards. Kinsey worked for Indiana University. Indiana is, even more than New Jersey, a state well known for its pricks, although neither is renowned for their size.

The Kinsey Report was criticized as scientifically questionable, because he did not have a random sampling of the population, but instead got participants largely from prisons, and mental institutions. Studies that followed showed much lower levels of pedophilia, especially homosexual pedophilia and bestiality. It's not clear why; were his participants more likely to engage in socially unacceptable sexual practices, more willing to admit to those practices, or more likely to hoax the pollster about those practices?

Condomania says 50% of their customers have penises 5-6 inches in length, with 25% shorter and 25% longer.

Penises And Politics

What I find interesting is that the states with the larger sizes are mostly blue states, while those with the smaller sizes are mostly red states. Make your own joke about compensating here; they don't sell many Ferraris and Jaguars in Wyoming, but there are comparatively many in red-state cities.

I considered the possibility that the really large or really small condoms were being purchased as gag items. Condomania sells this item as a 288-pack for $115.20, which probably would make that less likely.
