It's not an option.
It's a standard feature
The Aztec calendar stops with the year 2012. Some people say that means the world will end then.
I dunno. On the other hand.... First the sports got bizarre, with Dennis Rodman's hair, and it hasn't gotten any less bizarre, with soccer coaches insisting that their players have sex in order to increase their testosterone levels. Then the weather got bizarre, with blizzards and tsunami and hurricanes. There was 18' surf at Rehoboth Beach yesterday, and it's supposed to be 21' today. And now, the mainstream news is getting really bizarre, too.
Miss Prejean tells Larry King that she can't hear him, then responds to a question he asks. Lou Dobbs resigns, saying he intends to press his agenda further, without the limitations imposed by having an international television show. (All right, we understand that one. He didn't jump, he was shoved.) Shawn Hannity apologizes to Jon Stewart for falsifying the news, as if Jon Stewart was the injured party.
Mike Tyson is involved in altercation after altercation, although nobody's gotten their ear bitten off lately. Turkeys are running free in East Hempfield, sleeping atop cars, and instead of people complaining about the manure they leave everywhere, they're protective of the turkeys. And now it turns out that Carrie Prejean produced multiple sex tapes, and not just as a teenager, and that she thinks the Bible gives its blessing to breast implants.
We won't object to breast implants, if that's what it takes to make a woman feel good about herself. We'd volunteer, on the other hand, to feel about any female friend who requests such assistance, and that requires less pain, blood, and mutilation of the human body.
Oh, and it turns out that Republican National Committee staffers have had abortion covered in their health insurance since 1981.
I suppose I should be happy, that there's so much to talk about, but there doesn't seem to be anything for me to say. The news speaks for themselves. Maybe the end of the world is coming.
