The Donald's Birth Certificate Problem

On the day I was born, there was one other kid born at the same hospital. Harry died when he was 22, and is buried about 20 feet from my daughter.

By the time I was 30, the doctor that delivered me was dead, and both of the nurses that were present. So was Harry's mother, who was delivered by the same doctor. There's nobody at all alive that witnessed my birth, and that's been true for about two decades, with my mother being the last surviving witness.

But my name is listed in the county paper for that week. Additionally, I used to have a card mailed to my mother by the spinster that owned the hardware store she worked in at the time. I think I was born when and where I was born - but I couldn't swear to it. Maybe I'm really Harry, and the buried corpse is Harl!

But Not For Donald

I mention all this, because Donald Trump has released his so-called birth certificate to Newsmax. I say so-called, because it doesn't even list his mother's name on the certificate. It says that the Donald was born to "Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Trump". But who was "Mrs. Fred C. Trump", anyway?

There are, after all, three women who call themselves Mrs. Donald J. Trump. Ivana, who was married to him from 1977 to 1992, is still Mrs. Donald J. Trump. Marla Mapes, who was married to him from 1993 to 1999, is still Mrs. Donald J. Trump. Melania, his current wife, is a third Donald J. Trump.

Trump told NewsMax “Someone takes an ad out in the paper announcing his birth days later? How many people do you know who take an ad out in the paper to announce a birth, and then won’t show anyone the birth certificate?”

Obama, though, didn't take out an ad in either of the Honolulu newspapers. Neither did his parents or his grandparents. The newspapers listed local births as a news item without any action on the part of family at all; they routinely picked up a list of births from the hospitals, and ran the item as news.

Not A REAL Birth Certificate

Not only does the document submitted by Trump fail to list the mother's name, but it's not a real birth certificate. Birth certificates are issued by the government, typically by the Department of Health. The certificate produced by Trump is a framable vanity certificate, apparently issued by Jamaica Hospital, and it's not even printed on tamper-evident safety paper, as a real birth certificate (such as Obama's) is.

Nor does Trump's "birth certificate" have even the most basic identifying information on it, such as the gender of the child.

There's no information on Trump's "birth certificate" indicating where he was born, either. Jamaica Hospital might refer to what is currently called Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Jamaica, New York, or it might be a generic form used by hospitals on the island of Jamaica. There's no information on the form to indicate addresses.

Consider Fred Trump's Honesty

Fred Trump was married in New Hyde Park, New York in 1936, and his funeral was held there as well in 1999. He built homes in Coney Island, Bensonhurst, Sheepshead Bay, Flatbush, Brighton Beach and Flushing - and in Chester, PA. Does it make sense that his wife would give birth in Jamaica?

It's not like Fred Trump was scrupulously honest. He told people he was Swedish, although both of his parents were born in Germany, for many of his customers were Jewish. Donald is similarly dishonest, recently bragging about having rented land to Gadhafi and then not letting him use it.

And Fred Trump was a big donor to Jamaica Hospital. There's a big pavilion there named for him. Would it have been difficult for him to obtain a meaningless certificate declaring a foreign-born child to have been born there, so as to save the hassle and expense of an adoption? No. Fred was a notorious cheapskate, collecting used names from construction for reuse, and sending out samples of floor cleaner for analysis so he could mix them up himself for 50c a gallon instead of paying $2 a gallon. Nothing wrong with saving a buck, but it raises a few questions about Donald Trump's birth.

The Date Of Birth Never Existed

Worst of all, there's a date problem on the so-called "Birth Certificate" that Mr. Trump is trying to pass off. It says he was born on Friday, June 14, 1966 but that date never existed. June 14 in that year fell on a Tuesday. There is no date indicating when the certificate was filled in. That suggests that it was not filled in contemporaneously, but rather filled in months or years later.

Mr. Obama's birth certificate comes from the state department that handles vital records, and it's backed up by contemporary announcements in two competing daily newspapers. Mr. Trump's bragging about having cheated Mr. Gadhafi makes us wonder why should we believe this obvious forgery now?

Born in 1946

Not 1966, you misread it. Although if he's only forty-four, that's some hard livin! So you'll probably want to drop that "date of birth never existed section" as there was indeed a Friday, June 14th, 1946.
Otherwise some good points. I've always found him a bit suspicious. And someone willing to lie about having hair is probably willing to lie about many other, less substantial things, like their citizenship.

Here's an enlargement

Still looks like a 66 to me.

But yeah, the day of the week works out that way.

How do we know that anyone's birth certificate is their own?

And a sad commentary on the state of the GOP. We could use a good Republican president, but I can't think of a good Republican to run.

No, I don't do that.

Another commenter (who preferred not to be published) asked me why I didn't simply remove the part about "Tuesday June 14, 1966".

If it had been a typo, I would have. In this case, however, it reflects on judgment. I'm willing to admit my eyes aren't what they once were. I'm also willing to admit that my brain isn't what it once was.

I was surprised that Trump was older, but my conclusion was that I must be mistaken. And I was, of course, only about the wrong thing.

I still think that The Donald should show a REAL birth certificate, given that he's making a big deal over birth certificates. Mr. Obama's birth certificate looks perfectly fine to me.

BC

He did post his "REAL" birth certificate. It was out there yesterday. Do your homework.

Yes, You're Right

Yes. Rather than continue this thread further, I made a new post about the new birth certificate about 11 hours before your comment.

It's a copy, rather than the original.

But thanks for your comment. It alerts readers that there's more to this story. And thanks for trying to keep me on my toes. I appreciate it.
