Think Again, Sleepy Jean

Cheer up, sleepy Jean.
Oh, what can it mean.
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen.

You once thought of me
As a white knight on a steed.
Now you know how happy I can be.
Oh, and our good times starts and end
Without dollar one to spend.
But how much, baby, do we really need?

When you're young enough to be dating homecoming queens, you have no idea how much you really need. And when you find your wife or kid has an incurable illness, you learn that no matter how much you might have, it isn't enough.

And when you have number 1 hits, it's easy to believe that money comes easily. "Daydream Believer" hit the number one spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 1967, remaining there for four weeks. It was the last number 1 hit for the Monkees.

They were a fun group. No musical skills at the start; they were assembled in order to have a TV show. They had a lot of help, though, in getting up to speed, and they learned quickly.

The music holds up. And the price has dropped to almost nothing. Recommendation: buy.
