The Secret Service has arrested and is questioning a 30-year-old man for tossing a shoe this afternoon over the South fence of the White House.
According to NBC's NBC's Les Kretman and Domenico Montanaro, officers identifed the man as Ryan Hill. No hometown was given.
Hill has been charged with disorderly conduct. He's still undergoing questioning, but it's likely he won't be held, sources said.
Disorderly conduct? The guy's going to get a $25 fine for doing this? They should have held an auction on eBay. I suspect they could have found people willing to pay $1000 or more for the right to throw a shoe at the White House while George W. Bush was still in office.
Damn. That guy will be telling his grandchildren about this. Millions are envious of his initiative.
